In accordance with Section 8.2. ADR, drivers of vehicles which transport hazardous substances on public roads in quantities which are subject to labelling must not only be specially trained but must also attend a refresher course every five years.
In the basic ADR course, you learn the relevant regulations for the transportation of hazardous substances and how the hazardous substance regulations are structured and how they are to be applied.
You are acquainted with the hazard potential due to hazardous substances and learn measures to check the road and operational safety of a vehicle.
You learn how vehicles must be properly loaded and unloaded with piece goods and bulk materials and which regulations must be observed for their transportation.
The advanced ADR course teaches changes in the law, refreshes knowledge and makes drivers aware of the activities and duties which are prescribed for road transport by means of practical lessons and assistance for this qualification.
